Seeking a Controller for a company within the manufacturing industry. Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. About us A leading manufacturer of high-performance composite materials is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee all financial operations and drive strategic financial planning. This role is ideal for a hands‑on finance leader who thrives in a dynamic production environment and is committed to improving processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting long‑term business growth. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities. Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project‑based and departmental accounting. Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements. Provide leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long‑term strategic financial objectives. Ensure credibility of the finance department by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts. Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long‑range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions. Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting to the company. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Oversee year‑end close process. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and year‑end close processes. Demonstrated success in managing accounting and financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing and taxation. Proficiency in manufacturing accounting and experience managing financials. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation. Experience with enterprise‑level financial systems. Ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands‑on capacity.
