We're Hiring — Beverage Co-Packing Jobs in Fort Worth, TX Very Good Manufacturing runs beverage production for leading alcohol & alcohol alternative brands. We specialize in distilled spirits and RTD cocktails, and our high speed canning and bottling lines accommodate all TTB approved sizes and fill levels. We have an on-site R&D Beverage Laboratory for private label concepting & formulation. Our company is growing fast: the Fort Worth, Texas production facility tripled in size in 2023. We are looking for professional, talented and driven individuals to join our team and grow with the company. Position Overview: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial control systems primarily utilizing Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs. This role requires strong foundational knowledge in electrical wiring, controls, automation, industrial networking, and excellent problem-solving skills to support our production operations. Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 per year Schedule: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities: Develop, program, and maintain control systems for beverage production equipment. Troubleshoot PLC systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Perform routine system maintenance, ensuring optimal machine performance and reliability. Provide support during installation, commissioning, and startup phases of new equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Continuously improve existing automation and control processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2+ years experience working with industrial automation and control systems. Proven hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and Siemens PLC platforms. Solid understanding of electrical wiring and circuitry related to industrial machines. Ability to troubleshoot complex control issues independently. Familiarity with HMI development and integration. Knowledge of industrial networking protocols and hardware. Familiarity with Ignition SCADA systems is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
