Searching for a Controls Engineer who can drive the specification, design, implementation, and maintenance of complex controls systems and software programming for advanced production equipment.
This role is vital to ensuring the optimal functionality of our machinery, and you will be leading various projects that contribute significantly to manufacturing processes.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in specifying, designing, and implementing controls systems.
  • Extensive experience in PLC programming from scratch Is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HMI systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Essential Duties:
  • Design, specify, and implement advanced controls systems for production equipment.
  • Lead and manage controls and automation projects from inception to completion.
  • Program PLCs from scratch and modify existing programs to improve functionality.
  • Develop and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems for optimal user experience and equipment control.
  • Supervise Controls Technicians, train them, and address complex issues.
  • Ensure OSHA and company safety compliance by identifying and addressing electrical hazards.
  • Specify DCS, PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, motors, drives, sensors, and data software.
  • Modify and troubleshoot DCS, PLC logic, HMI programs, and servo controller logic.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, and process problems.
  • Coordinate machine data collection, analysis, and network integration.
  • Support machine installations, upgrades, and vendor management.
  • Identify opportunities for improving production performance and oversee projects.
  • Provide technical training to production and warehouse staff.
  • Assist with project planning and budgeting.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
