StaffBright is seeking a proactive Controls Engineer (2nd Shift) in Fenton, MI, to support a highly automated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant control systems while ensuring production equipment and processes run efficiently.What You Will Be DoingSupport and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems across the plant to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production operations. Maintain and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including monitoring performance metrics such as downtime, quality, and production tracking. Act as a second level of support for complex automation issues, partnering with maintenance teams to diagnose and resolve equipment and robotic system challenges. Program and modify control systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs and RS Logix based on manufacturing process requirements. Work with HMI platforms such as FactoryTalk View to monitor system performance and respond to faults or alerts. Support and optimize automated systems, including robotics, vision systems, and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and enhance system performance.What We Need From You2+ years of experience in a Controls Engineering or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and RS Logix 500 and/or 5000. Experience working with HMI systems such as Rockwell FactoryTalk View.
