We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will install, repair, and troubleshoot control systems while supporting both field operations and new system designs.

Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain and control truck inventory for tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications and training.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers in the design and implementation of new systems.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Skilled in using tools and technology including phones, computers, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC systems.
  • Proficient in diagnosing electrical malfunctions using test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Working knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as DH+, ControlNet, RS485, and Ethernet/IP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electronic Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance, including PLC systems.
  • Understanding of electrical and electronic principles, including safety standards.
  • Experience with test instruments (volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, data analyzers, circuit testers).
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Experience

  • Engineering or related field: 5 years (Preferred)
