Make a difference as a Controls Engineer As a Full-Time Controls Engineer at CNC Solutions LLC, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring, modifying, and writing PLC programs, primarily for Allen-Bradley and B&R systems. Your expertise in electrical design will come to life as you create schematics and drawings using electrical CAD software, while also wiring electrical control panels to meet specific project requirements. You will program control systems that utilize PLCs, motion controllers, and HMIs, ensuring optimal performance. Onsite installation and commissioning of automation equipment will be a key responsibility, alongside diagnosing and replacing faulty electrical and electronic components. Your ability to interpret mechanical design drawings from SolidWorks will help you address electrical requirements effectively. Additionally, you will research supplier products for assembly components and develop comprehensive electrical bills of materials, while also overseeing the quality of work by assemblers and technicians. Collaboration with Sales Engineers will further enhance quote preparation as needed. What matters most To excel as a Full-Time Controls Engineer at CNC Solutions LLC, you will need a blend of education and experience, including an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in the automation industry. Proficiency in electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical is essential, along with familiarity with Vision Systems such as Cognex or Keyence. Your hands-on experience in configuring and programming Allen-Bradley and B&R PLCs and HMIs is crucial for success. The ability to read and understand mechanical, fluid power, and electrical principles and prints will greatly enhance your capabilities in this role. While programming knowledge of robotics is not required, it is a valuable asset. Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills will enable you to thrive in a high-pressure environment, whether working independently or as part of a team.
