At Stewart Glass, you will work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Logan, Ohio, supporting continuous 24/7/365 operations. We are seeking a Controls Engineer with industrial manufacturing experience to support electrical systems, automation, and process optimization in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and implement electrical and control systems supporting glass manufacturing operations
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation platforms
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and validation of electrical and controls equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation, and production system issues to minimize downtime
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements
  • Lead controls upgrades, automation initiatives, and system optimization projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors on new equipment installations and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA requirements, safety standards, and manufacturing best practices
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, procedures, and change records
  • Provide full-time, on-site, hands-on engineering support in a continuous manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Controls Engineering experience required, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Electrical Engineering background preferred but not required
  • Strong experience with PLC programming, industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and automation systems in production environments
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical codes, safety standards, and OSHA general industry requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Shift & Work Schedule

  • Full-time, exempt, on-site position in Logan, Ohio
  • Night shift role (currently operating on a days-only training and onboarding schedule)
  • Future schedule aligned with manufacturing rotations, including:
    • 12-hour shifts
    • 4-on / 4-off rotation
