Job Description

The Controls Engineer will support the installation, commissioning, and service of advanced electrical control systems. This role involves PLC/HMI programming, troubleshooting, and supporting OEM equipment across global manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support installation and commissioning of OEM equipment at global manufacturing sites (remote and onsite).
  • Provide technical service and support for electrical control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control-related issues in OEM equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with customer controls policies and standards by interfacing with various internal departments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in controls engineering or IT systems.
  • Experience working with international teams is a plus.

Technical Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of control system design and implementation for global manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Experience programming Rockwell Automation Logix PLCs
  • Proficiency with Rockwell HMI platforms including PanelView Plus, PanelView Plus CE, and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
  • Experience programming Siemens S7 / TIA Portal PLCs
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet-based industrial networks and architectures.
