Controls EngineerLocation: Madison, WI areaIndustry: Advanced Manufacturing / AutomationRelocation: Available for the right candidateSponsorship: Not AvailableA growing manufacturing organization in the Madison WI area is seeking a Controls Engineer to support automation, equipment integration, and production system reliability. This role will focus heavily on Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix / CompactLogix).Support automation equipment, robotics, and production lines to improve uptime and performance.Develop and maintain HMI and control system interfaces.Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls issues on manufacturing equipment.Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement process improvements.Support new equipment launches, commissioning, and automation upgrades.Maintain documentation for PLC programs, electrical schematics, and control systems.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing or automation environments.Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix / CompactLogix).Experience with HMI systems, automation troubleshooting, and industrial electrical systems.Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or motion control is a plus.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Additional NotesThis is an on-site role in the Nashville, TN area.Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. – sponsorship is not available.
