We’re Hiring: Controls Engineer – Special Purpose Machinery (SPM)Location: Wiltshire, UKSalary: Up to £60,000 (depending on experience)Travel: Occasional international travelWe’re looking for a Controls Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) projects for a wide range of industries.In this role, you’ll be involved in the design, development, and commissioning of PLC control systems, working with both Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms. You’ll play a key role in taking projects from concept through to on-site commissioning, helping deliver innovative automation solutions for customers worldwide.Key Responsibilities:PLC programming using Siemens and Allen-Bradley systemsHMI/SCADA development and integrationElectrical control system design and documentationMachine commissioning and testing (factory and occasional site-based)Supporting installation and start-up of machinery at customer sitesWorking closely with mechanical and project engineering teamsWhat we’re looking for:Experience programming Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLCsBackground in special purpose machinery, automation, or industrial systemsStrong fault-finding and commissioning skillsAbility to work across multiple projects and industriesWillingness to travel internationally on occasionWhat’s on offer:Competitive salary up to £60,000Varied and technically interesting SPM projectsOpportunity to work across multiple industriesSupportive engineering environment with room to growIf you’re a Controls Engineer looking to work on innovative automation projects with a mix of office, workshop, and occasional international travel, we’d love to hear from you.
