Controls Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLCs, HMIs, and programming to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role involves troubleshooting and commissioning control systems to support production goals and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes
- Program PLCs and HMIs to automate machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in control systems and processes
- Commission new control systems and ensure they operate to specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency
- Maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics and procedures
- Integrate sensors, drives, servos, and robots into existing systems
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on existing control systems
- Conduct testing and validation of control systems before deployment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley Preferred, Additional a plus)
- Familiarity with motion controls and vision systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and commissioning control systems
- Knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols
