You will Lead the end-to-end delivery of TCU and MCU software for assigned transmission system programs, ensuring alignment between scope, timing, cost and quality. Act as the central coordination point for all Controls activities across the full software stack — including application software (model-based development) and basic software (AUTOSAR) — ensuring integration across system, software and validation domains. Drive execution through strong program leadership, operating in a cross-functional and global environment without direct hierarchical authority.ResponsibilitiesProgram leadership and coordinationAct as Controls Manager (CM) for assigned programs, with full responsibility for Controls & Software delivery.Serve as the main interface for Controls toward Electrical/Electronic and Propulsion System organizations.Define and manage overall project timing, ensuring alignment with program milestones and deliverables.Lead program coordination and reporting, ensuring transparency on progress, risks and issues.Develop and track Controls KPIs (e.g. software maturity, readiness, quality metrics).Support project acquisition activities, including early-phase feasibility and planning.End-to-end software scope ownershipEnsure coordination and delivery across the full software stack, including:Application software (model-based development using Simulink)Basic software (AUTOSAR stack)Functional safety- and cybersecurity requirementsSoftware integration and release managementAlign software development activities across suppliers and internal teams.Ensure consistency between system requirements, software implementation and validation.Planning and feature roll-out managementDevelop and maintain the Feature Roll-Out Plan (FROP) as the reference for Controls & Software delivery.Define software release strategy, integration phases and key milestones.Ensure alignment between stakeholder expectations and achievable delivery plans.Maintain FROP consistency with program timing, calibration needs, validation activities and hardware availability.Provide regular updates and ensure FROP is the single source of truth for Controls planning.Change, risk and issue managementDrive change management activities, including Change Control Boards and requirement change approvals.Identify, assess and manage program risks, ensuring mitigation and escalation where needed.Own and manage software-related issues, including tracking and resolution of open points).Ensure structured problem-solving processes are applied across teams.Quality, validation and release oversightPlan system integration testing and software validation activities.Ensure software releases meet program requirements, quality targets and timing constraints.Manage software quality processes, including:Risk assessmentsOpen pointsLessons learned and best practicesSupport and participate in process and ISO audits where applicable.Governance, reporting, and reviewsPrepare and deliver program review materials for governance forums (e.g. CGPM).Report Controls & Software readiness using standard KPIs (e.g. PSDP KPIs such as PSK V001).Lead or contribute to Controls Management meetings, ensuring alignment on:Planning and timingValidation readinessRisks and recovery plansOpen issuesProvide structured updates to senior stakeholders and leadership.Bulletin and project communication across all involved functions and external partners.Act as a key reference point for Controls topics within the program.Education and Experience RequirementsEducationMaster’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Control Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.Professional ExperienceMinimum 8 years of experience in automotive controls and/or embedded software development.Experience in software project management or technical program leadership.Strong understanding of:Model-based development (Simulink – MathWorks)AUTOSAR basic software and software integrationV-cycle development processProven experience in automotive projects, ideally in propulsion systems (transmission, engine, hybrid or EV).Experience in cross-functional coordination within complex organizations.Familiarity with software suppliers and global development environments.Additional competenciesStrong program leadership and coordination skills without direct hierarchical authority.Ability to manage complexity across system, software and organizational boundaries.Structured, process-driven and quality-oriented mindset.Strong communication and stakeholder management
