Company Description Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick‑service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams. Job Description Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise or supplies and posts totals to inventory/ property records. Verifies and records computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Responsible for checking in delivery drivers, inspecting all returning trailers, verifying returned goods and damaged products and re‑entering goods into inventory. Handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on produce and spoiled product. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. Inventory Control Coordinator Duties Checks in delivery drivers, inspecting all returning trailers, verifying returned goods and damaged products and re‑entering goods into inventory. Handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on product. Breaks full cases of produce into smaller ones. Keeps inventory up on a daily basis. Sorts through pallets of bad products. Determines quality of products returned by customers.
