As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as a software detective, providing dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
Driving a shared service strategy and performance culture
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for application development.
Implement best practices in software development to enhance application performance and reliability.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve application development processes.
Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Basic Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Core Java is required
5+ years of relevant work experience
Associate’s Degree or greater
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in React.js is recommended
Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is suggested
Proven working experience in Java development and software development
Knowledge of relational databases
Experience with GIT, Eclipse
Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and microservice implementations at scale
Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, WebLogic Application server or JBoss
Able to contribute to automation and causal analysis and develop shared/common solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (both to a technical and non-technical audience)
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, team leadership, problem solving, innovative thinking, mentoring
Operating in a highly agile continuous integration and continuous deployment environment
