Job Description Sr. Core Java Developer with strong Database development skills. All 8 positions are developers — a combination of database / core Java development . The focus is on Core Java (they will not work with any front end development of frameworks), Teradata, Oracle, and Unix Programming . Responsibilities Developing Java services to process data service requests to different Java-based applications. Write complex SQL queries and Shell scripts as part of daily activities. Analyze issues and suggest technical solutions. Must Haves Strong Oracle Development Experience: Understand the use of triggers Have DDL Scripting experience Understand the use of internal & external tables Understand all aggregate functions in Oracle Understand how to work with Views Understand the different types of sub-queries Understand the different types of table partitions Experience using Load/Unload Utilities (BTEQ, Teradata SQL Assistant, Tpump, FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport) Understand the different types of Indexes and their advantages/disadvantages Understand stored procedures and how to utilize them Understand how to create views in tables Understand bulk inserts Strong Unix Scripting and Programming Experience: Strong Shell Scripting/Programming skills, knowledge of specific commands, and experience working with command lines Experience accessing command line arguments from Shell Scripts Experience debugging shell scripts Experience with hard links and soft links Experience with Multi-threading and synchronization Experience with Abstract Classes and interfaces Experience with Strings and Arrays Experience with OOP concepts & patterns Understanding File IO and Serialization Experience with Collections (List, Map, Set, etc.) Experience with Exceptions (Checked, Unchecked) Nice to have Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts Knowledge of Data modeling Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
