Job Description The Corporate Accountant will possess understanding of financial accounting standards and procedures to perform month-end close activities. The individual in this position will apply their knowledge to properly provide financial analysis to management. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple locations. Post and review journal entries for multiple locations. Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly ensuring supporting documentation. Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items. Review monthly trial balance and provide variance explanation. Prepare month-end financial notes and analysis for the shop managers and general managers. Review monthly WIP calculations and job costing reports for accuracy and completeness. Possess an understanding of finance and accounting pertaining to sales, inventory, job costing and margin analysis. Understand all areas of accounting Grasp job costing and apply concepts Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral format Organizational skills to meet all deadlines throughout the month and during month end Work well with members of the accounting team Communicate effectively in written and oral format Self-Motivated Ability to adapt to a changing environment due to growth Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited U.S. college or university. 3–5 years’ accounting experience working with U.S.-based companies, including application of U.S. GAAP.
