Corporate AccountantTo support and equip the financial management and decision-making process for Korhorn Financial Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, by providing accurate, organized, and timely financial reports and communications to the firm's Leadership Team, in accordance with the firm's standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Internal Revenue Code.Responsibilities and TasksLead, manage and hold accountable internal accounting team, as necessaryAdminister the payroll process for Korhorn Financial Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companiesManaging month-end reporting processServe KFG team members as accounting/payroll advisor/process managerMaintain confidentiality in corporate compensation and financial structureGeneral Ledger for each of KFG's subsidiaries and affiliated companies are maintained accurately and reconciled monthlyAccounts payables and outstanding liabilities are paid on time without accrual of interest or late feesQuarterly tax estimates are paid on time without accrual of interest or late feesHold KFG accountable to timely deposits at all locationsCredit Cards are reconciled and sent to Team Leaders for Review and Approval Process each monthBank Accounts are reconciled and sent to Team Leaders for Review and Approval Process each monthGeneral Ledger for KFG, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, are closed out within one month of year end to facilitate a timely corporate tax return filingPayroll is processed on time to avoid any delays and in accordance with KFG bi-weekly pay scheduleCash balances are managed and maintained to avoid insufficient funds notices and feesInsurance policies are paid on time annually to avoid lapse of corporate policies due to late paymentEmployee benefits (group insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, etc.) are paid on time (i.e. monthly or per payroll) to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and contractsTithes are calculated and paid during quarterly tax estimatesManage the accounts receivables and revenue deposits for Korhorn Financial Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companiesMaintain ADP payroll, and data integrity, confirm ADP has prepared and filed Payroll Tax Returns as neededMaintain permanent electronic and physical records for: credit card accounts, corporate vehicles, insurance policies, vendor agreements, core leadership holds contracts and Tara holds W-9, lease agreements, banking relationships, liabilities, assets, etc.Prepare monthly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flow, Owner's Equity, etc.) for Team Leaders to review and analyzePay quarterly tax estimates for the firm's shareholders based on instructions from the Finance Department Team Lead or Leadership TeamImplement and maintain the firm's system of financial controlsParticipate in the Finance Department's weekly Team MeetingCoordinate with leadership team to identify asset listing and corresponding depreciation schedules for Korhorn Financial Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companiesWork with Corporate Tax Preparer to prepare and file Federal, State and Local Income Tax Returns annuallyAssist Corporate Tax Preparer to prepare and file Personal Property Tax Returns annuallyAssist the Team Leader of KFG Finance Department in continuous improvement of processes and procedures to gain ongoing efficienciesFacilitate Remote Deposit of checks received weeklyStripe Credit Card A/R Receipts reconciled and download, weeklyPrepare 401k annual True-upPrepare annual Work Comp AuditTransfer Funds through First State Bank as directed: to facilitate loan payoff or major purchasesPerform other duties as requiredRequired Skills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of payroll processUnderstanding of Unemployment Tax Filing ProcessStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable talking to senior leaders about the details of the firm's financial records and resultsMust be well organized with time, resources, physical office space, and corporate documents/informationHigh responsibility and diligence in managing many financial details within frequent deadlinesAbility to enhance the Finance Department's efficiency by improving monthly accounting processesHistory of prudent management in personal finances as verified by a background checkMust be intrinsically motivated and able to work individually with little directionMust be a team player and able to collaborate with other Finance Department team members and KFG Tax & Business Services team membersMust exemplify the firm's corporate values and represent the company well in the community and in all dealings with vendors, customers, and other affiliatesAdvanced knowledge of financial software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft OfficeExperience preparing personal or corporate income taxes preferredEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university requiredFive to ten years of experience as a "full charge bookkeeper" within a financial services company or similar firmQuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor or able to achieve this
