Corporate Associate

As part of the Corporate Practice Team, you will support and lead a range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and related corporate activities. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of law firm experience and the readiness to take ownership of transactions. Experience in general corporate work, contract drafting and review, and M&A is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with and lead corporate transactional matters including M&A, private offerings, and strategic restructurings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and related transaction documentation
  • Provide guidance to clients on general corporate legal matters
  • Manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple active matters with consistency and responsiveness
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and business professionals across the firm

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm corporate practice
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or lead transactions; first-chair experience strongly preferred
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and responsiveness
  • Admission to the Michigan bar is required
