Corporate Associate
As part of the Corporate Practice Team, you will support and lead a range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and related corporate activities. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of law firm experience and the readiness to take ownership of transactions. Experience in general corporate work, contract drafting and review, and M&A is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with and lead corporate transactional matters including M&A, private offerings, and strategic restructurings
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and related transaction documentation
- Provide guidance to clients on general corporate legal matters
- Manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple active matters with consistency and responsiveness
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and business professionals across the firm
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm corporate practice
- Demonstrated ability to manage or lead transactions; first-chair experience strongly preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and responsiveness
- Admission to the Michigan bar is required
