Corporate Financial Accountant
Reports To Accounting Manager
Job Overview
The Corporate Financial Accountant is responsible for Financial Reporting, Bookkeeping, Cost Accounting, Corporate Accounting and partial AR Accounting of the real estate assets in the company. This role will also include oversight of the AR, AP, Collections, Bank Reconciliation, Construction Projects, and Lease Administration functions. In addition, the Corporate Financial Accountant will be of assistance for the entire portfolio of the company as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Financial Workpapers and Bank Reconciliations in GAAP Basis for Accounting Manager Review.
· Provide day-to-day related AR functions including billing, collections and reporting
· Submission of Quarterly Lender Reports to Lenders.
· Lead meetings with Leasing, Legal and Operating Departments regarding billing/collections.
· Assist with Corporate bank reconciliations, cash flow, tax returns and workpapers.
· Responsible for SD Reconciliation, Escrow management and Sales Tax filing
· Prepare OPEX/RET Escalation schedules and assist with Tenant Inquiries
· Responsible for inputting new leases, amendments and related abstracts into the system
· Responsible for Year-end audit inquiries & assisting in budget preparation.
Qualifications
· Masters Degree or higher is a must. CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
· Big Four Experience is a big plus
· 3 Years Minimum Experience in Real Estate Accounting. Audit Experience is a plus.
· Commercial Experience is a must
· Knowledge of Yardi is a must. Job Cost Module is a plus.
· Availability to work in a Hybrid Schedule
