Position Overview
The Pharmacy Technician will support medication distribution and pharmacy operations within the correctional facility, working closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe and accurate delivery of medications to patients.
Key Responsibilities
\tPrepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed provider
\tMaintain accurate medication records and documentation
\tAssist with inventory management and medication storage
\tEnsure compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations
\tCollaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care
\tMaintain confidentiality and adhere to correctional healthcare protocols
Qualifications
\tActive Pharmacy Technician registration/certification in the state of Texas (required)
\tPrevious pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
\tStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
\tAbility to work in a secure correctional environment
\tTeam-oriented with strong communication skills
