Position Overview
The Corrugator / Plant Utility is responsible for moving into the line of progression on the Corrugator on the scheduled production shifts. This person will also assist the Corrugator as needed with the direction of Supervision or be allocated to another area of our facility as directed by Supervision. Main priorities of this position will ensure the Corrugator is serviced as needed before being asked to assist elsewhere. This position will require cleaning, machine prepping, and unloading of roll stock during second shift plant hours
Responsibilities
Fills in the line of progression on scheduled shifts as needed. Cleans the Corrugator following a scheduled shift of production. This includes daily/ weekly cleaning duties. Preps machine for incoming production crew. Unloads incoming roll stock as needed Services the needs of the Corrugator prior to being asked to perform duties elsewhere in the plant. Performs work required in other areas of the plant as directed by Supervision. Keeps work area clean and orderly following direction from cleaning checklists. Notifies Supervisor on irregularities and maintenance needs. Performs any required data collection and chart recording related to the quality process. Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervision. Charged with learning the responsibilities and duties of the Desk and Stacker positions of the Corrugator. Charged with learning the responsibilities and duties of various roles in Shipping, Press, and Finishing & Specialty departments. Responsible for training incoming people to the Corrugator / Plant Utility position as required by Supervision.
Qualifications
Generally, requires up to three months to become fully competent on the job. Must be able to correctly interpret shop orders, scheduling printouts, and recognize quality defects.
