COST ACCOUNTANT:

Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

• Record and report all incoming and outgoing materials, confirm complete and accurate counts, and reconcile/explain all variances
• Research and resolve any inventory-related errors, discrepancies, and special requests from the accounting department
• Communicate with business partners and complete weekly reconciliations of off-site inventory
• Prepare and review any month-end journal entries related to inventory, prepare account reconciliations at month-end close for cost and inventory
• Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, variance reports, and audits

Preferred Qualifications of the Cost Accountant:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance. Required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in cost accounting
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers and regulatory agencies.
• A self-starter who likes to take initiative and see a project through to completion
