Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Operations

As a Cost Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting throughout the manufacturing process. Essential functions include:
- Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyze manufacturing variances, scrap, product returns, and margins across business units.
- Costing Models: Review and improve standard costing, job costing models, and reserve methodologies for greater standardization and efficiency.
- Profitability Studies: Conduct research and analytical studies to drive cost savings and identify profitability opportunities.
- Process Coordination: Collaborate across departments to streamline operations and align cost-saving goals.
- ERP Management: Ensure inventory and cost accuracy within ERP systems for new and existing parts.
- Audit Assistance: Support year-end audit and tax reporting requirements.
- Cycle Counts & Physical Inventory: Direct and oversee periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Operational Excellence: Continuously identify and implement best practices to improve processes and efficiency.
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA or CMA certification preferred
•3+ years experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
•Experience working with ERP systems and strong Microsoft Excel
