Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant/Analyst to join their team. Role Overview:As a Cost Accountant/Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing the cost accounting functions within the manufacturing environment. Your primary focus will be to analyze, develop, and track costs associated with inventory, labor, and the cost of goods sold. You will be instrumental in understanding cost components, adjusting standard costs, and analyzing variances to help the company make informed financial decisions. Key Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve inventory count variances to ensure accuracy in financial reporting Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end closing procedures Review standard and actual costs for discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support financial reporting Assist in the month-end close process and manage the General Ledger, including inventory adjustments Generate reports to compare and analyze factors impacting the pricing and profitability of products and services Conduct periodic analysis of manufacturing costs, comparing actual costs to standard costs to identify areas for improvement Help develop and document policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with internal controls and system requirements Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required) Minimum of 5 years' experience in Cost Accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment Experience working with MRP/ERP systems is highly preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of accounting principles Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must; experience with ORACLE is a plus Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly related to machine or equipment production, is ideal Experience: 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company at the forefront of screen printing machine manufacturing.
