Cost AnalystApplied Research Solutions has a new role for a Cost Analyst to provide support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HBU). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. ARS employees are motivated through our industry competitive benefits package, our awards and recognition program, and personalized attention from ARS Senior Managers.As a Cost Analyst at ARS, you will:Perform routine cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolationPerform cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon systemAnalyze all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scopeAnalyze contractor financial data using Earned Value Management (EVM) measures of merit to determine program viability with respect cost and schedule performanceAnalytical processes, such as setting up the problem; conducting background research; collecting and reducing data; displaying data for analysis; formulating mathematical expressions; and drawing conclusionsProvide contract pricing support services for tasks in all phases of the acquisition cycle to include development, award, management, measurement and contract closeoutPrepare draft pricing briefings, draft pricing correspondence, and draft agency pricing reportsDevelop pricing related evaluation criteria, track pre-award task order milestones and statusSupport source selection teams in the evaluation of cost proposalsPrepare pricing documentation for review and approval by the Government COPrepare pricing spreadsheets of technical proposals and perform other pricing analyses to support price/cost evaluations of technical proposalsProvide pricing support for discussions/communications with offerorsProvide pricing support to construct agency pricing related reports and draft other pricing related documents in response to protest actions or other claims against the agencyAccess, populate, and analyze information in organizational pricing related databases Required skills may include but not be limited to:Knowledge of most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, and execution) for initiating new programsExperience in quantitative analysis and calculusOther duties as assignedQualificationsCitizenship: Must be a US citizenMinimum Required QualificationsClearance: Must have an Active Secret ClearanceKnowledge of most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, and execution) for initiating new programsExperience in quantitative analysis and calculusExperience with ACEITPreferred QualificationsEducation: Master's DegreeCost estimating methodologiesEarned Value Management (EVM)Data analytics and modelingPricing and financial analysisMS Excel and pricing toolsDoD acquisition lifecycle and documentationStrong communication and briefing abilityTeam collaboration and stakeholder coordinationAnalytical thinking and problem solvingAttention to detail under tight deadlinesLocation: Hanscom AFBTravel: 10%The expected annual salary range: $100K - $115K.
