Cost Control Engineer In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs through the development and maintenance of reliable cost control systems. Your expertise will support project decision-making, ensure budget adherence, and facilitate accurate financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex projects within a dynamic environment, ensuring financial efficiency and project success. Responsibilities Implement and maintain the Cost Control System, including developing and managing a consolidated Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) in accordance with established procedures. Track project expenditures and monitor compliance with budgets and financial plans. Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, analyzing actual costs against budgets and forecasts. Identify cost variances, investigate potential overruns, and recommend mitigation measures. Monitor project progress and earned value to calculate cost accruals and work-in-progress valuations. Develop cost forecasts for upcoming project phases to support planning and resource allocation. Support contract changes and claims processes by delivering detailed cost impact analyses. Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to communicate cost performance and resolve financial issues. Ensure all cost control activities comply with corporate policies, procedures, and reporting standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or project management. Proficiency in implementing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial analysis. Advanced skills in Excel; experience with SAP and other cost control systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Fluency in English. Additional beneficial skills include experience with risk assessment tools and familiarity with project management software.
