MRF is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Engineer to join our team. The Cost Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and understanding technical specifications, collaborating with engineering and sales teams, and developing accurate cost estimates for custom industrial equipment.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining vendor relationship, recording historical cost data, projecting project Estimate’s at Completion, and continuously improving estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Job Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial equipment environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Proficient in reading technical drawings with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, minimum requirement of an Associate’s Degree in technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Inventor, AutoCAD) and the ability to create drawings is a plus
• Experience with custom or one-off manufacturing projects
• Experience in vacuum and/or thermal processing industry
