Cost Engineer Apply
THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHSSummary of Position:The Cost Engineer is a key team member of the Project Controls Team. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Cost Engineer will assist with the execution of Capital Projects at the new First Quality Tissue Defiance, Ohio site.Essential Functions:Field Change Requests (FCR): Develop, track, analyze, forecast and process on-site field changes. Set up and run weekly Contractor meetings to review, negotiate and approve FCN’s. Ensure all back up information is supplied, checking against base scope for discrepancies. Summarize approved FCN’s per Contractor and forward to Procurement for formal Change Order issue.Invoice Review: Validate invoices received against approved base contract/FCR’s and site validate where necessary.Cost Reports: Assist with cost report preparation and provide input with contractor forecasting. Provide justification for monthly variances. Create and update Contract Summaries on a monthly basis.Earned Value Measurement: Create, maintain and report earned value progress measurement for Contracts.Cash Flow management: Update and track cash flow for both Capital and Expense. Noting and explaining variances.Schedule: Review and comment on both the Master Schedule and Contractor specific work schedules.Contract Close Out: Support close out of Contracts ensuring all supporting documentation is complete together with relevant back charges applied. Complete Contractor & Vendor close out forms. Lead Contractor evaluation review with project team.Background & experiences:Knowledge of paper production equipment and processes would be advantageous.Understanding of Project Control processes.Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills.Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.Detailed understanding and use of Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with use of Oracle Aconex would be a plus
