Sr. Accountant, CPA (Tax & Audit) | $90,000–$150,000 | On-site (Ankeny or Ames, IA) / Direct Hire

- Jan - Apr: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- May– Dec: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

A long-standing, growth-focused public accounting firm with multiple offices throughout Iowa is seeking a Senior Accountant, CPA to join their team. This firm has been serving businesses and individuals for over a century and is known for building strong relationships with clients while maintaining a fun and collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities
- Prepare complex income tax returns (corporate, partnership, and individual)
- Prepare business tax filings and stay current on tax law changes
- Lead financial statement engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations
- Train and supervise staff on engagements
- Engage with clients in a professional and positive manner
- Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- CPA license or actively pursuing licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3-5+ years of audit and tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience leading engagements and supervising staff
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounting software
- QuickBooks & Ultra Tax experience preferred, not required
- Valid driver’s license required
