Roles and Responsibilities:
The Modeled Meteorological Information Manager (MMIM) provides the capability to create, receive, manage, and transmit meteorological information required to support artillery and target acquisition systems without the use of balloon-borne meteorological systems. SME will support Tactical C5ISR systems in CONUS and OCONUS regions supporting units in combat operations and/or advise and assist with missions.
- Train the FMF to locate and acquire MMIM data.
- Acquire and upload MMIM data to the forward-facing website.
- Train the FMF to set up, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the AN/PRS-11 Portable Receive Suite to enable the FMF to acquire MMIM data.
- Interface with FMF personnel and US Government employees to provide break/fix support to USMC tactical networks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Research questions using available information resources: technical manuals, operating and administrator guides, fleet advisory messages (FAMs), and internal approved knowledge base(s).
- Identify and elevate situations requiring urgent attention.
Education, Knowledge, and Technical Certification:
- Certification listed above accepted in lieu of higher education: And
- Experience equal to degree level
- Experience with AN/PRS-11 Portable Receive Suite.
- Experience with USMC fires systems, such as AFATDS, JADOCS, G/ATOR (GB-2), FTAS a plus.
- Experience with networking equipment including Cisco switches and routers.
- Experience working with customers, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the telephone and/or in person.
- Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.
- Experience writing technical solutions and commercial knowledgebase articles.
- Intermediate analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and consistent resolution of IT problems.
Preferred Skills:

Requirements
- TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION - Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations.
- Experience working with customers, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the phone and/or in person.
- Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in military training and education.
- Direct participation in real-world operations is desired.
- Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.
- Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate intuitive problem-solving skills, and allow for flexible scheduling.
