Key Responsibilities
  1. Credentialing Coordination:

    • Collect and verify provider documentation to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
    • Process applications for initial credentialing and recredentialing.
  2. Privileging Management:

    • Review and maintain up-to-date provider privilege information.
    • Coordinate with medical staff offices to ensure accurate privilege assignments.
  3. Compliance and Verification:

    • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and state/federal regulations.
    • Verify licenses, certifications, and professional references.
  4. Data Management:

    • Maintain accurate and organized provider records in the credentialing database.
    • Generate reports as required for audits and compliance reviews.
  5. Communication and Support:

    • Serve as the liaison between providers, medical staff, and credentialing committees.
    • Address inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to credentialing.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in credentialing and privileging processes.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA).
  • Proficiency with credentialing software and database management.
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with providers and staff.
