Commercial Credit Underwriter

The Lyons National Bank, a growth-oriented community bank located in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York, is currently seeking an extremely self-motivated and responsible professional to fill the position of Commercial Credit Underwriter. This position is responsible for providing an in-depth financial analysis of moderate to complex credit relationships relating to the lending activities of the institution, including evaluating financial information and identifying associated credit risks; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the credit analysis function; communicating with commercial loan officers and management; providing guidance and on-the-job training to Credit Underwriter I(s); assisting with special projects in support of credit risk management as assigned by Senior Credit Administrator and/or Chief Credit Officer.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field of study is required along with a minimum of two (2) years related experience. The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 annually. This person will also exhibit strong organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills as well as proficiency in all Microsoft Office functions.
