Criminal Defense Attorney Apply
Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
Draft legal documents including briefs, pleadings, motions, sentencing memoranda.
Actively participate and lead the defense of criminal cases.
Appear in court.
Communicate with clients, prosecutors, witnesses and experts.
Participate in strategizing in the defense of interesting cases.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the state bar.
Experience in the criminal law, e.g., defenders office, prosecutors office, work in another private firm.
At least 2+ years experience is preferred.
Familiarity with criminal law and procedure.
Excellent research and legal drafting skills and analysis.
