  • Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Multimodality Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more modalities, with at least 25% of time focused in an advanced imaging discipline such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.
This role provides high-quality imaging services to both ambulatory and hospital patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury, in accordance with established departmental protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures across multiple modalities, ensuring accurate and consistent image quality.
  • Operate imaging equipment (including CT and Radiography) safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer and departmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Adhere to radiation safety policies and ALARA principles.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient records.
  • Monitor and assess equipment performance; report malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional certifications.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience:

  • Less than 1 year of experience required (new graduates welcome).

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT): Licensed by the Texas (unless role is MRI or Ultrasound only).
  • Required Certifications:
    • ARRT-R (Radiography)
    • ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
  • Additional certifications in other modalities (MRI, NM, US, IR) preferred and may enhance eligibility.

Approved Modalities (for secondary credential):

  • ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-N, ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, ARRT-BS, ARRT-BD, ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-OB, RDMS-FE, RDMS-PS, RVT, CNMT, ARMRIT.
