Whether you are seeking a full-time, part-time, or PRN role, you'll be part of a compassionate, team-oriented environment dedicated to caring for both our patients and our staff.PRN EmployeesBenefits may include:403(b) retirement plan with employer match, upon meeting eligibility requirementsOpportunities for additional shiftsPosition Highlights:Performs computerized tomography (CT) and (Radiographic) X-Ray imaging procedures while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner, for the purposes of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and within the scope of their license.Responsibilities:Performs all routine computerized tomography and radiology procedures, demonstrates anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning, technique selection, administration of contrast media, application of immobilization and radiation protection devices according to department policy and proceduresChecks consultation request for special instructions from requesting physician and consults with radiologist as necessary. Greets patients, confirming their identification and introducing selfConfirms procedure site and referring physician orders with patient and explains examination procedure to patient and family, if presentUpdates appropriate patient history, including completion of screening and consent forms as required and records unusual conditions/limitations on request. Documents examination time, room number and technical factors and enters into hospital information systems. Ensures facility and patient identification are imprinted on film and/or digital imagesAssists in interventional procedures as required. Practices sterile and infection control techniquesEnsures accurate and prompt posting of procedure charges into hospital information systems according to department policy and proceduresImports patient data and examination images onto media storage disk. Maintains imaging media storage archives and daily procedure log bookPerforms visual preventative safety inspection, completes CT & Radiographic systems warm-up procedures as required, records quality control activities, reports dangerous conditions and/or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnelMaintains necessary inventory of supplies for assigned room or workstation, rotating stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items. Keeps work area clean and prepared with necessary suppliesRequirements:Minimum of 3 years of experienceAssociate's DegreeGraduate from an approved program in Radiologic TechnologyIEMA LicenseCPR certificationAART registration or eligibleACR CT Certified preferredQualificationsEducationRequiredAssociates or better.Licenses & CertificationsRequiredIEMA-Reg.
