Job Title: CT Tech Contract (Nights) Position Summary

The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the technologist assists radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensures safe operation of imaging equipment, and maintains strict adherence to imaging protocols. The CT Tech is responsible for producing diagnostic-quality images and processing all studies accurately through PACS while maintaining patient safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders, established protocols, and safety guidelines.

  • Prepare, position, and monitor patients to ensure comfort and optimal image quality.

  • Assist radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.

  • Operate CT scanners and mobile/stationary radiographic or fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively.

  • Process, verify, and transmit all images to PACS with accurate labeling and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, radiation documentation, and exam logs.

  • Perform equipment quality checks and report malfunctions promptly.

  • Follow radiation safety policies in accordance with ALARA and state regulations.

  • Provide clear communication and guidance to patients before, during, and after procedures.

  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications (Legally Required)
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Current and valid Missouri Radiologic Technologist License.

  • Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications.

  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.

  • Proficiency with mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT or radiology experience in an acute care clinical environment preferred.

  • Strong computer skills with experience in PACS, RIS, and electronic medical records.

Shift Details

Contract assignment; Night shift: 1800 0630.
3-month contract duration.
On-call participation optional based on departmental needs.
