Job Summary for SMH Allied Level 2 CT Tech - Weekend Overnights

- Schedule:
- Friday to Sunday, 7:00pm 7:30am EST
- Includes holidays, on-call (2-3 shifts/month), and callbacks as needed
- Must start by 6/22 to receive specified rate

- Primary Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and exam prior to scans, ensuring patient safety
- Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging needs
- Prepare and position patients; explain procedures to ensure comfort
- Insert IVs as required for certain tests
- Safely move/lift patients with limited mobility
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC and ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

- Required Qualifications:
- NY State CT Tech License (with injection therapy certification stated on license)
- Certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS licensure obtained before starting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years' CT experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience (2 years)
- Siemens CT scanner experience (6 months)
- Willingness to obtain injection certification if not already held
- Telemetry experience
- EPIC experience highly desired (1 year)

- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Philips and Siemens CT equipment
- Injection certification (preferred but can be completed during orientation)

- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Team player; ability to maintain a positive work environment

- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and on-call as scheduled
- Able to obtain TB skin test if required
