Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a CT Technologist for a top Healthcare client.
This skilled role performs a variety of technical Computed Tomography (CT) and general Radiology procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Technologist assumes responsibility for ensuring the utmost quality in imaging services across the entire patient age spectrum, consistently prioritizing patient safety and comfort as the primary objective.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform diverse CT scan and general Radiology procedures at a highly proficient technical level without requiring constant supervision of technical details.
- Apply prescribed ionizing radiation with independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assume responsibility for designated technical areas or complex imaging procedures as required by departmental needs.
- Prioritize patient care as the number one objective, delivering the utmost technical quality during all examinations.
- Conduct examinations on patients of all ages, ranging from neonate through geriatric populations.
- Operate and regulate specialized imaging equipment to capture high-quality images necessary for diagnostic review.
- Collaborate closely with the Radiologist and medical team to optimize imaging protocols and enhance diagnostic outcomes.
Requirements
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology School is required.
Experience
- One (1) year of previous CT experience is preferred.
- Candidates are not required to have previous acute care experience.
Certifications/Licenses
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license is required.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) and (CT) registry is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Skills
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in the application of imaging technology.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused technical care.
- Experience performing examinations across a broad range of patient demographics (neonate to geriatric).
