Growing together.Primary Responsibilities:Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all imagesDemonstrate competency performing all computerized tomography procedures and the operation of all related equipmentGreet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer systemScan according to guidelinesObserve patient vital signs during examinationProvide instruction/mentoring to new hiresMaintain CPR certificationPerform procedures in compliance with Standards of Care, facility and regulatory requirements, and ARRT Standards of EthicsMaintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPA regulationsAssist in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three yearsDemonstrate a positive patient experience; share information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-up steps and requirementsDemonstrate a positive experience from the referring providers; providing excellent qualityConsistently submit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systemsMake decisions authoritatively and wisely after adequately contemplating various available courses of actionContribute to efficient out-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modalityObserves patient for vital signs during examinationUtilize sterile techniques preventing contaminationIdentify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all imagesReview each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedureDemonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to a collaborative work environmentMeet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstrating accountability, flexibility and adaptabilityEnhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME's through education programs, conferences, and workshopsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) CT certifiedPreferred Qualifications:Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine2+ years of experience in computed tomographyAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organizationAbility to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devicesPhysical Demands:Requires standing and walking for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift and carry items weighting up to 50 poundsMust be able to assist patients weighing 300 pounds or more and place them in appropriate positions for the operation of equipmentRequires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review imagesCore customers and key relationships:PatientsPatients Families and FriendsPhysicians and Other Medical StaffExternal Medical PartnersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment.
