CT Technologist (Rotating Shift)

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves working with both inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining departmental standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism. The CT Technologist collaborates closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other imaging team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans and related imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure proper patient identification, safety, and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Verify and review imaging orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment efficiently and safely.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy prior to submission to radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in rotating shifts (day/night) to ensure continuous departmental coverage.
• Foster a positive and professional working relationship with peers, other departments, and medical staff.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist (required)
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R); ARRT (CT) preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Experience:
  • Minimum one (1) year of CT experience preferred
  • Acute care experience not required
