The Curriculum Product Manager will work closely with peers and the Director of Product Management to continuously forecast needs and improve the curriculum product portfolio. This role will play an influential role in course catalog management, state approvals, customization requests, and enhancements optimize the PVS learning experience. Product Managers assess the market and customer needs, define a roadmap for the solution, monitor its development and delivery, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, content development, sales, training, and school-facing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the customization request funnel, estimate level of effort, define requirements, communicate with business owners, delivery managers, external providers, and stakeholders, and prioritize against existing items in the backlog
  • Acquire a fundamental understanding of proprietary content development tools and systems to develop a clear understanding of compliance and customer requirements with well-defined acceptance criteria for successful project delivery to timelines
  • Use available reports and manipulate data to inform decisions; maintain various data sets in tools such as Azure DevOps and Smartsheet so that the collective volume of work is visible and meaningful
  • Define the right features to be developed, considering the value being delivered against the cost of delivery

Qualifications:

  • High degree of personal ownership and accountability to consistently deliver results in a fast-paced and high-profile environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with the implementation of online curriculum and program, school, or district operations protocols
  • Data-driven in daily workflow habits with a high degree of comfort with spreadsheets, formulas, and interpreting what the data tells you
  • Bachelor's degree (business background preferred)
  • Educational industry experience a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of product management experience, including experience managing digital products
  • Proven dexterity with data manipulation and analysis to drive decision-making and planning
  • Ability to synthesize and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholder groups
  • Convert multiple data points into an actionable plan that meets the needs of the end user(s)
  • Proven ability to manage complex large-scale projects under significant constraints using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires significant flexibility, self-direction, and creativity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office programs)
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $80,000 - $100,000.
