Full job description
VCS is looking for Custodial Worker 1 for one of our client at Nashville, TN. Earn Gift Cards up to $250 every Month.
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Attendance/Performance Appreciation: Up to $250/Month as Gift Cards (Non-Taxable)
- Weekly : 40 Hours
- Shift: 7am-3:30pm (11am- 7:30pm 1 weekend on & 1 weekend off)
- Start Date Asap
-Contract: 6 Months with possible extension
**Ensures the Hospital is clean and all federal, state, and local laws are adhered to in order to meet or exceed Joint Commission standards.**

- When interacting with clients, co-workers, and the community, employees must be respectful at all times
- Works efficiently to complete work tasks in a timely manner
- Must consistently work in a safe manner to insure staff and community are in no harm
- Shows knowledge of using approved chemicals, equipment, and supplies in a safe manner according to Joint Commission, CDC, Licensure, and any/all other accepted national or state standards and supervisor instruction
- Ability to communicate and follow oral and written instructions in the manner that it has been assigned at the start of each work period
- Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy standards through adherence to HIPPA, and any other federal, state, or local legislation
General Job Duties
Job duties include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Disinfects and sanitizes restroom shower walls, sinks, by using bathroom caddy machine, door handles, glass, and stainless steel
- Trash removal, dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing/ stripping/ waxing/ buffing tile floors, vacuuming/shampooing carpets, and performing dusting by removal of dust particles and bugs from light fixtures, ledges, and windows sills
- Products must be adequately supplied to client areas
- Ability to operate a manual and high speed burnisher, and, floor care machines
- Ability to process, count, arrange, and fill unit linen orders
- Assures biohazard waste and sharps containers are checked daily and removed when certain criteria are met, following policies and procedures
- At the end of each shift, responsible for replenishment of cleaning supplies and products for the next shift
- Assures all equipment used is returned to the storage location clean and ready for use
