Location: Clarkston, WA (In-office)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM 3:00 PM PT
Pay: $18.00 per hour (W2)
Hours per Week: 20 hours

Position Overview:
Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Clarkston, WA SSAMS Claims Processing Center for Social Security Disability Income (SSDI/SSI). The role involves a variety of clerical and administrative tasks that ensure the smooth processing of claims and client interactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This is a part-time, in-office position requiring 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and Route Incoming Calls: Respond to inquiries, direct calls to appropriate team members, and assist with basic information on SSI/SSDI processes.
  • Screen SSI/SSDI Candidates: Conduct high-level screenings to identify potential candidates for SSI/SSDI based on eligibility requirements.
  • Process Incoming and Outgoing Mail: Scan and organize incoming mail for electronic distribution to staff, and prepare outgoing mail for delivery.
  • Produce and Mail Application Packets: Prepare and send SSI/SSDI application packets to clients in a timely manner.
  • Update Database: Accurately input and update client information into the database to maintain current case records.
  • Filing and Record Keeping: Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards.
  • Clerical Tasks: Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the processing center.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using office software (Microsoft Office Suite, email, etc.) and learning new systems
  • Previous experience in administrative or clerical roles preferred, but not required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information
