Location: Hummelstown, PA (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | Daytime Hours
Pay Rate: $22/hr - $24/hr
Start Date: Feb 16, 2026

About the Role
Abel Personnel is hiring a Customer Service Representative to support a high-volume utility services call center in Harrisburg. This role is ideal for experienced call center professionals with a strong background in billing, collections, or regulated customer service environments.
You’ll handle inbound customer calls while also supporting back-office functions such as billing, service orders, payments, and account maintenance. Success in this role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to navigate complex customer issues in a fast-paced setting.
What You’ll Do
  • Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls and inquiries
  • Resolve billing, payment, collections, and service-related questions
  • Enter and maintain customer data and service orders in a Customer Information System (CIS)
  • Process payments, billing adjustments, and daily cash reporting
  • Promote programs such as ACH, e-billing, and conservation initiatives
  • Meet quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of call center or customer service experience, preferably in billing or collections
  • Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Google Workspace or similar tools
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
Preferred:
  • Regulated utility or municipal customer service experience
  • Familiarity with CIS platforms such as CC&B
