The service dispatcher functions as an assistant to the operations manager. Communications, computer skills and technical understanding is helpful. The serve dispatcher will also operate as a back up to the maintenance customer service representative and the installation sales customer service representative.

The following are the primary tasks involved in the position.

Receive customer calls for service work.

Dispatch technicians for the service calls.

Price up service tickets.

Make entries into the payroll log.

Order parts.

Schedule residential jobs.

Submit purchase orders for equipment.

(Expedite delivery for date, time, and location.)

Schedule vehicle maintenance.

Review end of month closing documents.

Return parts when required.

Obtain forms for jobs from the towns for permits. Complete forms and submit to the towns.
