Job Title: Customer Service/Inside Sales Support SpecialistFLSA Status: Non-exemptSummary:The Customer Service/Inside sales support position performs a variety of customer service and inside sales support functions. This position answers customer calls, answers customer questions, research working with other internal departments, this position is required to fulfill customers’ requests for technical information, order updates, facilitate order expedites, resolve any problems and find solutions when needed. Must be knowledgeable of the organization’s policies, procedures, practices, products and services.Duties/Responsibilities:Respond to customer inquiries, and take customer ordersResearch through multiple sources when needed to determine the best solution for customer needsResolve issues with delivery, pricing, and customer related issuesSupport Outside Sales Representatives by providing reports, following up with reports and entering ordersBuild and maintain sustainable relationships of trust through open and proactive communicationRecord accurate, detailed information regarding all inquiries, comments and complaints, as well as actions takenHandle complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits and follow up to ensure an adequate resolution has been providedSet up and maintain customer information in company ERP systems.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong telephone, active listening, and customer service skillsWorks well in a team setting Strong research/problem-solving skillsAttention to detailStrong Microsoft Office, Excel skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independentlyAdapts easy to order entry systemsBilingual English/Spanish a plusEducation and Experience:High School Diploma Associate's degree preferred Three or more years of work experience as a Customer Service RepresentativePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerInvolves walking or standing for brief periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying files, ledgers, etc.
