JOB DESCRIPTION:

THE OAKTON COMMUNITY CENTER HAS IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES TO FILL DAYTIME. THERE ARE PERKS FOR JOINING OUR TEAM! EMPLOYEES RECEIVE A FREE MEMBERSHIP TO OUR HEALTH CLUB, FITNESS FIRST AS WELL AS OTHER FACILITY USAGE BENEFITS.

Pay: $16.00/hour to start, depending on experience and qualifications

Duties: Responsible for providing excellent customer service to the patrons of the Oakton Community Center. Assists patrons with program registrations, room reservations, pool and pooch park pass registration and inquiries regarding all Park District programs and facilities. Enters registrations into the District's RecTrac registration program. Answers the telephone and handles walk-up patron inquiries. Keeps the front desk area neat, organized and orderly during shift. Processes end of shift paperwork. Maintains accurate records and reports. Assists the Front Desk Customer Service Supervisor with light office duties as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hours: Shift times are listed below:
Weekday shifts available: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to noon; noon to 5:00 PM: Occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

Approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Qualifications
: Must be a responsible adult, at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be an organized individual who is a self-starter with strong communication, customer service, computer and cash handling skills. Must have exceptional phone etiquette. Must have at least one year of work experience in a customer service position or a related position. Position requires basic computer skills; experience with RecTrac registration system is a plus but not required.
