Position Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Storeroom Customer Service Representative to join our team and deliver exceptional service. This role involves managing procurement processes to ensure timely and reliable delivery of products, materials, and goods that meet quality and cost standards. The ideal candidate will excel at building strong relationships with customers and vendors, have a keen eye for detail, and be proactive in problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform procurement activities to align with customer demands for stock and non-stock items.
  • Review and approve inventory forecasts and replenishment recommendations.
  • Evaluate and adjust existing orders for optimal delivery schedules.
  • Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders while ensuring compliance with customer standards.
  • Monitor product quality and coordinate the return or replacement of damaged goods.
  • Negotiate vendor returns for aged, expired, or surplus inventory.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors and customers regarding order statuses and resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Identify and document opportunities for customer cost savings and process improvements.
  • Generate and analyze customer KPI measurement data.
  • Follow operational procedures and adhere to workplace safety protocols.
  • Maintain a professional and organized worksite at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of procurement experience; CPM certification is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to quickly learn Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for basic calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Long periods of computer work and repetitive tasks.
  • Possible exposure to manufacturing environments (dirt, heat, cold, noise, etc.).
  • Adherence to safety protocols may require the use of protective equipment.
  • Occasional overtime with minimal notice.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds and distinguish colors for specific tasks.
