THE POSITION

Are you customer service focused with previous experience working in retail, clerical functions, sales, or warehousing? If so, this position may be the opportunity you are looking for! The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Product Associate 1. This position will serve as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) responsible for overseeing the Licensee Delivery Program and the Licensee Online Order Portal (LOOP). DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position you will serve as the subject matter expert for licensee ordering processes, the LOOP software application, and will be the primary point-of-contact for licensee order management. Key responsibilities for this role include responding to inbound phone calls and emails, supporting customers who need to make orders before cut-off deadlines, resolving issues and disputes, engaging in proactive outreach to promote the agency and use of its services, and documenting interactions with licensees. You will also analyze purchasing patterns, effectively addressing the most common complaints with understanding how the issue impacts service levels to the customer, and create customer activity reports to ensure licensees are maximizing their savings through promotions and special programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment (75-hours bi-weekly)
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The number of days needed in-office will be discussed during the interview and hiring process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Four years of clerical, retail, sales, warehousing, or customer service work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:
  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
