ABOUT THE JOB:

Are you a positive, upbeat person who can be an empathetic listener? As an Account Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating with consumers via inbound calls, email, and/or correspondence. Your attention to detail while reviewing, assessing, and responding to consumer charged-off accounts will be an asset to the team. In this position you may assist in setting up payment arrangements with consumers. You will also document accounts and respond according to procedures and defined deadlines.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Handle multiple types of consumer communications including inbound calls, email, credit bureau reporting disputes received from consumer reporting agencies (acdv/s) and consumer correspondence.
  • Respond to consumer complaints and disputes, validation of debt requests, account inquiries, credit bureau reporting questions and more.
  • Accurately document and respond according to procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude providing customer service while being compliant with regulations.
  • Multi-task between on and off phone work and multiple applications.
  • Follow legal parameters and compliance requirements of State and Federal mandates, including those set forth in the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Adheres to Jefferson Capital Systems compliance program and its' related activities and maintains the utmost confidentiality.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree is a bonus.
  • Basic understanding of collections is a benefit to this position.
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Great listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Bilingual skills are highly desired.
